Dr. Tony Cauchi

Dr. Tony Cauchi, MD is a board certified emergency physician who has practiced emergency medicine for 20 years. He graduated from Angelo State University with a bachelors in biology and then attended Texas Tech University for Medical School. He attended residency at Synergy Medical Education Alliance/Michigan State University in Emergency Medicine and has practiced as a full time ER physician since then. Dr. Cauchi has a wide breadth of experience working in a level one trauma center, rural emergency departments, and facilities of all sizes. He was the section chair for five years at a level one trauma center responsible for the operations of a busy emergency department and was co-owner of Triad Physicians, a business which managed emergency departments.

Dr. Cauchi entered the US Army at 18 years old and served for five years in the enlisted ranks until he finished his contract and attended medical school. He reentered the US Army Reserves as an ER physician after completing residency and is currently still serving. He has deployed five times as an ER physician in a combat support hospital (CSH) or a forward surgical team (FST) in support of the war on terrorism.



Dr. Stephanie Lewis

Dr. Stephanie Lewis, MD, FACEP, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. She has been a dedicated emergency physician at both Mercy Emergency Trauma Center and Cox Hospital Emergency and Trauma Center since 2004, where she has built a distinguished career marked by leadership, mentorship, and service.

During her tenure at Mercy Hospital, Dr. Lewis served five years on the Mercy Clinic Board of Directors and became the hospital’s first Pediatric Emergency Department Medical Director. Her leadership has helped shape emergency care delivery in the region, particularly for pediatric populations.

Dr. Lewis is a passionate educator with extensive experience teaching medical students from the University of Missouri, physician assistant students from Missouri State University, and local paramedic trainees. She completed her emergency medicine residency through the Michigan State University program at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals, where she served as Chief Resident. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her undergraduate studies at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina, where she was a two-sport NCAA Division II athlete.

Her background in wilderness and expedition medicine is equally impressive. In 2022, she participated in a trek to Mount Everest Base Camp Emergency Clinic, which provides care in one of the most remote landscapes in the world. In the summer of 2025, she successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro with her family. She also has experience as a rescue scuba diver for Saginaw Michigan’s Sheriffs Department during her time in Michigan.

Locally, Dr. Lewis is a committed community volunteer. She serves as a trip physician for Honor Flight of the Ozarks and has been a summer camp physician for Kanakuk Camps. She is married to Dr. Tom Lewis, a fellow emergency physician and EMS Medical Director for Mercy Hospital, and they are proud parents of two teenage sons who attend Springfield Catholic High School.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Lewis is an avid long-distance runner who has completed 10 marathons and many more triathlons. Her passion for adventure, education, and service continues to define both her professional and personal life.
